Hi, I really like Xzelë as a friendly companion.
I was wondering some things :
is it a feature to have three points in quarterstaff ? Paladin can only put two points in weapons proficiencies, and she indeed can't put more than two points in other weapons.
I understand why she can't equip anti undeads weapons like Daystar or the Mace of Disruption. But why Carsomyr too ? It's an anti evil weapon, not an anti undeads one ?
She seems to have a specific weakness to petrification. If turned to stone, she immediately exploses and can't be turn to flesh. Is it intend ? If yes, it could be nice to specify it on her ring description.
I really like how she reacted to Blooded stings of Barovia.

She has her unique staff and staffs are generally weak weapons. I always wanted to see a fighter or a paladin that would specialize in those and I've decided that this character may be Xzelë. It works well with her, in my opinion, and while her weapon is quite strong, there aren't many powerful quarterstaves there, thus a little bonus from me: one illegal star.

Well, Carsomy is also known as Holy Avenger. Besides, she has a lot of unique skills, she is quite powerful, even when compared to other paladins. Carsomyr is a holy weapon, a powerful one, later one upgradeable with Eye of Tyr. I've decided that her not being to able to use this item is just as reasonable.

It's intentional. She already has tons of immunities and resistances. And you may notice that she cannot be resurrected. No matter if she dies because of turning to stone, or in normal battle, she dies for good. She is hard to kill, she is immune, she knows many tricks, but if she dies, she dies for good. And I am unsure if that's something that needs to be written in an item description. Maybe, but... I really don't consider this a must.

Well, it's the same mod series, I thought it would be cool if she reacted somehow
Thank you for the fast answer. :-)
Having a focus on the staff is a nice idea, I was just wondering if it was intentional (I don't like abusing non intended features). The staff from Barovia fits her very nicely, both storywise and gameplay wise.
Now that you tell me it makes totally sense. The thing is she never died in my playthrough, so I didn't even wonder what would happen if she was killed.
And yes, a weapon blessed by Tyr would be weird for her.

A small, only lightly related note...
Lhannd also has a small reaction to the Bloodied Stings
Have fun on your next run there are some great new mods by Acifer, if you haven't played them yet
Cheers!
Good to know, really like him too.
Bloodied Stings of Barovia will be a must have on my installs now.
Yes, I just finished Call of the Lost Goddess and Dark Tidings, great mods too.

I'm at the end of ToB. After the last challenge, Xzele told me that she loves me, but we aren't in a romance (I'm not undead). The wording felt a little weird for just a friendship talk.
Could it be a banter meant only for romanced charname?
And I played Loretakers in a new run and really like it. :-)
I've had no unique encounter yet except for lady that was a stone statue where I didn't loot her ring I guess. Thanks for the code, but it seems to provide a different ring than she dropped?
Yes, the stone statue one, that's the one I've been referring to. And that's the ring the creature drops. You need both that and the journal, as that's what's checked:
PartyHasItem("L#XZEJCU") PartyHasItem("L#XZECRI")
Then, you must take these to the Temple of Evening Glory and talk to the priest.
