Troubleshooting with Yvette - Mornagest - 08-22-2020 Hi Lava, I recently restarted a full BG2 game just to try the Color of Infinity suite ; I read many positive posts about your mods and as I saw last week they were updated... well, why not try them ? So I installed the full suite (argh I forgot TotDG... ) and some other mods as you can see in my WeiDU.log : Code: // Log of Currently Installed WeiDU Mods I played without any problem until SpellHold. I got the sequence when Yvette and I go through the portal. Then we meet Gabriel, who sends us back to the asylum while keeping Yvette for him (evil one ! ). So I wondered then when I could find her back. I carried on my sweet way and arrived at the moment when I leave Spellhold with the « help » of Saemon and... no Yvette, nowhere. I read on SHS that I should have meet her on the second part of the asylum, I guess the part where we usually recover the vampire's hand and the crystal piece, am I right ? But I found her nowhere then (I kept a save at the beginning of this area). So is there something I did wrong ? I can check some variables if you need to After complaining, I must really congratulate you for this mod. For now I didn't started the others since I wanted to have Imoen in my party to do so, but Yvette is really a original and fresh NPC. The way you can recover her is poetic yet tragic when you learn the truth about her past... So, thank you for this great creation, Lava ! After the first part of Gabriel's plot, she should push you through the portal. Then, she should meet her again ar AR1514 (the point on the map: 598.636), lying on the ground. However, I am pretty sure there were some points in the game, where she would leave for good if the romance wasn't successful. I thought that's one of such places, but I can't find the script and it's been almost 10 years since I wrote this mod so... my coding was much less predictable so I might have put that script/action in some weird place... Anyway, if you want to investigate the matter, we can check where exactly something went wrong. I presume (from looking at the WeiDU log) that you're using old BG2... use CLUAConsole command or ShadowKeeper to check variables - give me the number for each X below: Global("YvetteRomanceActive","GLOBAL",X) Global("YvetteRomanceTalk","GLOBAL",X) Global("YvetteSpellhold","GLOBAL",X) Global("YvetteSpellhold2","GLOBAL",X) Thank you for your kind words. At first sight, the romance is active: Global("YvetteRomanceActive","GLOBAL",1) Global("YvetteRomanceTalk","GLOBAL",47) Global("YvetteSpellhold","GLOBAL",7) Global("YvetteSpellhold2","GLOBAL",X) => I do not have this variable, however. Maybe I should only create it and set it up at the good number ? (don't panic, I won't try anything without order ^^). Yes, you may think this is an ambitious mod but I believe this is why it is original and well written. Moreover, Yvette includes many interesting sequences (like the lake where lies the bathing scene or the Gabriel sequence which is positively destabilizing!) that makes it really charming to me. Anyway, as I said, this is the very first bug I got after LT47 so... I guess this is a good mean ! Thank you again ! RE: Troubleshooting with Yvette - Lava - 08-23-2020 Hi again, Mornagest ! So, looking at the scripts and it looks like you got most talks, the thing was okay until the moment when she spawned back. It's even more disturbing knowing that she WAS there, in the area: Code: IF That script runs once she is moved to that area. While I have no idea why I used ActionOverride rather than just Polymorph(SLEEPING_WOMAN_HUMAN), no matter if that action worked or not, she should be there. It may be a stupid question, but... is there ANY chance she had some item that gave her invisibility? Or some script that would make her hide or become invisible? I have a feeling that she may actually be there, but you can't see her. RE: Troubleshooting with Yvette - Mornagest - 08-23-2020 Hell... ! You're right ! I didn't remember she was wearing the cloak of displacement and so she's blurred... I jumped quickly to the AR1514 and she's lying on the floor right in front of me. RE: Troubleshooting with Yvette - Mornagest - 08-27-2020 I will, for sure ! This mod is really interesting, as I said, and still is for now - I came to Ust Natha. But... well, sorry for bothering you with another problem I had no reaction from Yvette after I left Phaere's room (I refused to stay with her in bed). In fact, I have exactly the same problem as described in this topic: http://www.shsforums.net/topic/58327-yvette-bug but I didn't continue. For now, YvetteRomanceActive is at 1 and LT is still 47, which is strange since I had other dialogues after SpellHold I don't know if I missed something? The last dialogue I got was when we arrived in the Underdark ; she says the place is creepy. I don't feel I rejected her but maybe I did ? But since the romance is still at 1... In short, I'm a bit confused Thank you again for your help! RE: Troubleshooting with Yvette - Lava - 08-27-2020 I think it's rather okay. I believe there is a kind of jump here. I mean there is the first Underdark talk, then a small comment ("It's hard to get used to the lightless world of the Underdark. After seeing hundreds of sunsets and sunrises, we have to face endless darkness."), but even if did not happen, you shouldn't worry. Just make a separate save and continue. Then talks return after the Underdark or even a bit later. There is no kidnapping as in other romances, something else happens after Bodhi is dead. And after that, there will be another romantic event. So I think you can just continue playing. Original romances also kinda have this "break" and they become a bit slower. Well, they do have the whole Bodhi things, but something will be there, after a certain matter is solved. And it's then when the romance turns 2 Cheers! I was expecting a reaction from her after the Phaere innuendo, as called in the global variables for the original romanceable NPC, but if I'm correct, there isn't one ? So I go on and try to leave the Underdark quite quickly as it is not my favorite part of the game and I miss Yvette's dialogues ^^ Thank you again !
