Sounds like https://github.com/Gibberlings3/EET/comm...98832349f1 is what you want. I'm not sure if that can be backported, the PCU calls are deep stuff. k4thos literally wrote that conversion code tailored to SotSC though as part of his work on converting SotSC over to EET.

Hi, I,m trying the last version (7) on an EET install.

I encountered two bugs :

- first, the description of Nature's Fang have some problems with the classes able to use it :
[Image: Nature-Fang.jpg]

- second, in the secret hideout, we can no longer rest directly. We need to talk to the tent, but the dialog is messed up in my EET install :
[Image: My-very-own-hideout.jpg]
When I choose option 1, there is a rest cinematic, but there is no actual rest.

Here is my weidu log :

Thanks for letting me know.

As for the test: yes, you can no longer rest directly, that's to lower a chance of a bug (triggering a dream sequence can get you stuck in the hideout). Tell me, though - what do you mean by "no actual rest"? Like no time passes or no spells are regained, etc?

As for the scimitar: is that also an issue for other SotSC-added scimitars? (like the one you get from a skeletal captain - I think it's l#HAUR1)
#79
Yes, no time passed and no healing or spells restored.

I didn't yet encounter another item with problems in the description, but I'm not yet in chapter 5.

I will check the item you mentioned with EEkeeper.

Are you sure it's like that for all members of the group? I see Player1 is for some reason skipped, but it should work for others. The spell restoration at least.

I would be grateful. I mean, I have an idea it may be working like that, but I think it would be like that for all my scimitars.

You're right. Indeed 8 hours pass and spells are restored for all party members except Charname. But the rest until fully heal option doesn't work.

Yes the Bone Scimitar have the same weird usability than Nature's Fang.

I'm afraid it will need to be done manually but will check it. If I have to decide between that OR player being stuck without being able to return to the place from which you get teleported, then the manual healing is obviously going to win. It's important for EET compatibility because dreams use StorePartyLocation so you could be resent to the original location. However, that is also used by dream sequences in BG2. StoryPartyLocation however may store just one original location. So if you are in that plane and a dream sequence happens there (original one or from any other mod), you may get stuck as the original location of your party will be already erased after the dream sequence and return to the Hideout. Thys, the new version used dialogue and a script, rather than normal resting. It's way safer for EET players.

Yes I agree with you, it's far better not being trapped in the hideout even if it means than rest until fully heal doesn't work.
And why does rest not work for Charname ? is there a way to fix it ?

Apparently the EET converter script doesn't pick up the description of Shaman in the op319s. So, the items which are blocked for the Shaman need to have an update like this:

Code:
COPY ~SotSC/items/l#HAUR1.itm~ ~override~
  SAY NAME1 @361
  SAY NAME2 @387
  SAY DESC @388
  PATCH_IF (GAME_IS "eet") BEGIN
    LPF ALTER_EFFECT
      INT_VAR
        match_opcode = 319
        special = 232342 // 32342 was Shaman in BG1
    END
  END

No, not really, unless you want to manually edit L#HNDRST.dlg and add ActionOverride(Player1,Rest()) among the actions, but that's not something I would recommend.

Thank you! Smile Thought about best way to update it and you have it already!

I also use original lines for the tent, but I think I will just check bg2ee original dialog.tlk and make an alternative file, as I don't think a similar code would work well with here, right?
#86
Actually, a similar thing can be done here.

Changing it's single COMPILE line in SotSC.tph  to this block:
Code:
OUTER_SPRINT ~rest_question~ ~#29937~
OUTER_SPRINT ~rest_yes~ ~#11318~
OUTER_SPRINT ~rest_no~ ~#783~
ACTION_IF (GAME_IS "eet") BEGIN
  OUTER_SPRINT ~rest_question~ ~#229937~
  OUTER_SPRINT ~rest_yes~ ~#211318~
  OUTER_SPRINT ~rest_no~ ~#200783~
END

COMPILE EVAL ~SotSC/dialogue/L#HNDRST.d~

along with changing the dialog file like this

Code:
BEGIN L#HNDRST

CHAIN IF ~True()~ THEN L#HNDRST REST.00
%rest_question%
END
IF~~THEN REPLY %rest_yes% DO ~StartCutSceneMode()
SmallWait(2)
FadeToColor([10.0],0)
  ActionOverride(Player1,Rest())
  ActionOverride(Player2,Rest())
  ActionOverride(Player3,Rest())
  ActionOverride(Player4,Rest())
  ActionOverride(Player5,Rest())
  ActionOverride(Player6,Rest())
AdvanceTime(EIGHT_HOURS)
StartMovie("REST")
SmallWait(2)
FadeFromColor([10.0],0)
EndCutSCeneMode()~ EXIT
IF~~THEN REPLY %rest_no% EXIT

works for both games.
#87
Wait... you already found the references and coded the dialogue? Thank you! Heart

Thank you, I will use it mainly for storage purpose then in this run :-).

By the way, are the Nereids added by SotSC ? Thoses nasty girls just killed Minsc and Dynaheir just before the pirates's cave...
#89
I don't think I added any nereids... They may be from some other mod.

Thanks to one and only Graion Dilach version 7.1 is already available Smile I also added cure for parties that use the tent in the hideout, however, it is always at the same level: 3d6+6. It should heal completely characters that are of, let's say lvl 3, but later in the game, you may need to rest more than once OR just cast some of the healing spells manually.

Oh, and one more typo reported before (I forgot to include it in 7.0) also just got fixed.

Yes, they are from the elementals components from Atweaks.

That was fast ! :-)

Thank you and Graion.
