UPDATE: problem solved by looking for the map icon in the correct location - near the Troll Mountains / Umar Hills.

Hi Lava,

Playing BG2 original, starting from a new game, the World map icon is not present for Silent Swamps after buying the book from Galoomp and getting the wordmap updated message. (Innershade, Tangled Oak and Alabaster Sands are present.) I didn't have this issue on my last play through a couple of years ago. What to do?

Are these the only mods you're using? Because I don't think you need the Worldmap mod for that composition... unless you just pasted a part of your WeiDU.txt?

What it looks like is that you either have not started the new game (so the worldmap stored in your savegame does not include the swamps) or you installed some other mod that overrides the worldmap (however, I don't think any of those you posted above did that...)

I no longer use old BG2, mods work so much worse on them and many triggers and actions added by EE are missing so I won't be of much use here. These two things are the only ones that come to my mind and are culprits behind 99% instances of the situations you described.

I just checked to make sure it looks normal and it does:

(it's gray because that's on a new game, before reaching the City Gates) -- I have no idea which other mod could possibly be in conflict with it. But if Innershade (which was installed before The White Queen) shows fine, then that such mod would need to be in a direct conflict with The White Queen.

BTW, there is a newer version of Worldmap. It should also work better with The White Queen mod.

Oh man, silly me. Since you posted the jpg of the world map, I realized I was looking in the wrong part of the map for the Silent Swamps! There is no issue except with me - I just had to look around the Troll Mountains / Umar Hills part of the world map, and voila! Silent Swamps is there! (I wish there was an option to view a 1-pager view of the large world map, in addition to the normal version that requires a lot of scrolling)

Lava, just so you know I think the Fire Veins +2 club is among the best additions ever introduced by a mod, at least for my core party! Jaheira used is all the way (off-hand weapon) to the Throne of Bhaal in my last playthrough.
