Yes, it is an intentional, way more powerful creature that was supposed to be more "primal and wild" -- especially considering he is in possession of something you shouldn't get while your character is of 1st - 3rd level. Consider him a weird, primal / monstrous / mutated xvart. I wanted to add precisely that... especially since there are like 0 interesting xvarts in the game... Nexlit... isn't exactly that.

Furthermore, that is an optional fight, as some other fights I added to the game, and players can go there whenever they want or they can skip it entirely. They simply won't get something powerful if they do that.

Just a suggestion -Perhaps include the above to give players a heads-up? Maybe as a [Wisdom] check (similar to the Ranger Barin at the Temple of Helm in Nashkel), or a side comment from Lore-savvy NPCs?
