In a 2.21french installation, all the npcs names on tangled oak island are remplaced by an item name or description (in ascii, with accent characters bugged)
I've also installed Southern Edge, no problem with this one (and no probleme with UB28 Kalah and What He Was Promised). I've deleted my all modded installation and tested on a fresh install with only Ascension and SCS iwd spells (tangled oak 3th) -> stilll bugued.
Hmmm, it's weird - tra does not loag properly for install.tph... I added a command to load it in 2.22 which is now online, but I have no idea why would it stop working...
Anyway, check the new file.
That may be a mistake in the translation - that's the line in English:
@12 = ~Ah, hello. My name's Oola. You must be new to the Tangled Oak Isle. Can I help you somehow?~

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're using French translation, right? There is a chance the package, upon updating by other translators, was saved in the wrong format. Open "translations" => "French" and try changing items.tra and items_ee.tra to ANSI and reinstalling the mod. Let me know if that's what went wrong.
I can't check every translation. If I get updated files (like fixed coding or the female line for a male character, which I presume is also a mistake in the tra file) I can update the mod
yes, verified, the items tra files are in utf8 and all over files are in ansi. Not my fault, see Mornagest for this. Do you want the ansi files or do you'll change thems youself ?
Would be great if you could change, verify if it works and check Oola's dialogue (@12) to see if the gender mismatch also happened during the translation update (it's L#NIDRUI.TRA if I remember correctly). You know how and where to find me And I hope that's not too much to ask for. I prefer if such things are checked by those that actually understand the language that is being checked.
