Urchin fatigue - Sanderson` - 05-03-2022 When Urchin got fatigued after haste, the game said due to low-health he returned "home" (but he's still in the party). RE: Urchin fatigue - Lava - 05-03-2022 That's really strange. The script looks like this: Code: IF I presume in your game Urchin doesn't end with 1 HP after haste, so... it's bizarre. RE: Urchin fatigue - Sanderson` - 05-03-2022 Does he have a specific fatigue message? Maybe it is using the low-health message by default. To be honest this is my first time using mods. After playing Icewind Dale a couple times I was missing the quests 'n' stuff from Baldur's Gate. I am going through this game again now with literally all your mods and a few rules changes from the Tweaks. I already have a lot of thoughts on the npcs but I'll hold off for a while and just post any potential bugs. To be honest this is my first time using mods. Well, this "fatigue" state is set by the spell itself, and the note you mentioned is displayed by a script, that's why I am slightly surprised and I am wondering if any tweak might have caused it. As for the feedback on NPCs. Sure, I hope there were some bits you liked. I know they are not perfect and there are also some NPCs I am happier with and ones I think could be better. While they are already written and some got translated already, I probably won't change the content, but such notes can be helpful when creating new projects Still, I hope you found some of them at least "ok". RE: Urchin fatigue - Sanderson` - 05-04-2022 Well I made a clean copy of the game and reinstalled Urchin, got to the mill and took him with me. Tried haste. I do not get the message and in fact see no fatigue message at all for him. Here's a pic how it looks in the "megamod" and my weidu log is below. Dusky accidentally came last after I realized I forgot to install him and needed a companion in Easthaven (I almost missed Orra down on the docks.) My wild guess is this behavior somehow came from the voice packs? After I play some more I can do a little more testing. I'm pretty dumb about stuff like this, weidu makes it easy, I just like to play rpgs. RE: Urchin fatigue - Lava - 05-04-2022 I think it's a really small incompatibility and you should just enjoy your run Perhaps I'll ask around for potential reasons at some point and you just have fun And again, I hope you'll have at least some more fun with these quests and NPCs A pity you didn't install IWD Crossmod Banter Pack - NPCs would talk to each other like in BG2 https://www.gibberlings3.net/mods/npcs/crossmod_iwd/ I think you're also missing Hommet, but I guess that the fact he's from a different game may repel some players. Almost into Wyrm's Tooth, and don't want to start being really picky until I'm done at least once. Does the Crossmod Banterpack do anything if I'm only using your NPCs? As far as Urchin goes, yeah, maybe trying to be helpful, but I realize there's very little you can do about something so obtuse. Please "look forward" to my brain-dump when I'm through! RE: Urchin fatigue - Lava - 05-04-2022 Yes, talks between my NPCs are also in that mod. Without the IWD Crossmod Banter Pack you won't get NPC-NPC talks, romance conflicts etc. It doesn't matter it's just my NPCs because even those need the introduction of the banter system provided by IWD CBP And they are still different mods. IWD CBP also gets rid of the problem of installation order. It's always installed as the last mod, so the mod detects which NPCs you have in your game and updates them. RE: Urchin fatigue - Sanderson` - 05-04-2022 Well since you said that, I installed the cross-banter mod and continued with my savegame. Witnessed a few conversations like L'anna vs Dusky. I like these conversations between NPCs more than conversations with Player 1, just because it makes the party feel more alive. Since this is the Urchin thread I must say there was a conversation with L'anna and Urchin at the Isle of the Dead which ended in a conversation tree that was something like "THIS DATA IS NOT LOADED" and the conversation ended. I realize now this is like the fatigue message and should be blamed on either install order, or incompatibility, etc. RE: Urchin fatigue - Lava - 05-04-2022 I will look at the message at some point, there is a chance it's something else. Anyway, enjoy the rest of your run |
