Missed the Foundling - Raphenox - 08-16-2026
I some how missed installing the Foundling mod in my EET install. Is it still possible to install this if I haven't visited the Temple Ruins yet? The icon has appeared on my map, but I haven't started it yet.
I know that the rule is not to install mid-playthrough which is why I'm creating a back-up of my game. I'm trying to finish as many of your mods for review before I start work this year. Thanks.

It may cause problems, I'm afraid. EET has a rule not to add anything after you finalize the installation, while I am not an EET user myself, I think I heard it is a HUGE no-no (1).
And even during BG2EE it could cause some additional problems, like area from the mod no appearing on the Worldmap (2), and there is a chance you wouldn't get some spells Foundling should learn, as the characters that have them may already be dead on your run (3).
While problems (2) and (3) are slightly less serious, problem (1) is a huge one and, from what I understand, may cause serious problems. I'm afraid you should just leave Foundling for your next run...

Pity, I had no intentions of using Foundling, just finishing the quests. I guess the review will have to wait for another 5~10 years? XD

The quest still requires him to be in the party, so you'd need to keep him -- at least for the duration of the quest
And that review would be only of the quest part if you're not planning to keep him, while there is a whole lot of new spells, a friendship path, ToB mini-quest, items, epilogues etc. Perhaps leave him for when you want to see the whole mod rather than just 25-30% of it Cheers!
