Hi there,

I'm pretty sure I've made a post (not a thread) before, but for some reason it's not showing up, so pardon any dual posting you may find :)

Long story short, I've installed the Weasels! mod in my BG1 and BG2 and, only on the first game, whenever I try to cast the spell, the game CTDs when the furry summons are about to show up.
I did some additional test and it went like this:

BG1: summons never work, be it with the arcane or the druid spell; the other level 1 spell for druids (weaselpaws?) works fine;
BG2: both spells work as intended.

I'd have tested a few more spells but, for some reason, couldn't give my characters additional experience with the console.

Also did some googling before posting here and it seems like none else has this problem. It also surprises me because, right now, my installation it's not complete, I've only UI, EEex, some soundsets and graphics improvements and was just starting to install new items/stores mods.

QUICK EDIT: just to say that I tested the level 5 spell, Summon Astral (?) Weasel and it also crashed my BG1. Might be something related to the summons sprites, maybe?
Hey, just tested it on my version and it works... but it's definitely something with the animation of those creatures on your game, it may be some incompatibility with EEex? I don't know. But there may be a quick fix for that problem.

You should use DLTCEP or NearInfinity and change the animation of L#176w1, L#176w2 and L#577w1. You can change them to use the older animation that used to be squirrel (0xC400 SQUIRREL) -- I believe that may fix your problem.

Just a question not totally related to the problem, but do you see any issue with installing the mod now rather than near/after Spells Revisions? It would be simple to uninstall it now and add it later (and re-assign the animations).

I have no idea why the animation doesn't work on your setup, but... well, at least you can play the mod and the game itself! Smile

I don't think keeping the mod here should cause any problems, but I don't use Spell Revisions myself, so I can't be sure. I usually install only quests/companions/items etc + so minor tweaks from Tweaks Anthology. Not that I think other mods are bad, I am just the type of player that focuses on stories and cares little for challenges, reworks/revisions etc Smile
