Is there a way to peacefully subdue the starfang tiger? I tried charm, sleep, stun, hold, fear and fists. Nothing seems to not work and if I kill it Y'Uula is saddened by the solution.

It's more like a secret way to deal with it. It's through using polymorph / wand of polymorph. I also added one somewhere in SotSC, but I don't remember where. Keep in mind you may want to save before using it, as the creature must fail the saving throw.
